Have you experienced breakouts shortly after applying a chemical peel?
If so, consider it not only normal… but a very good thing.
You see, the process of a chemical involves reaching deep into the skin’s layers and accelerating cell turnover. All the gunk lingering in deeper layers of the skin gets brought to the surface faster. Consider it a purging of deep bacteria and sebum, and rest assured that this post-peel phase will pass. With continued use of your chemical peel for 6-8 weeks, the skin persistently improves and clears. Ideal results appear around this time as the acids from your peel continue to accumulate in the skin.
It’s important in between peels to use a proper skincare regime for your skin type. Here at MUAC, we customize skincare for our clients on an individual bases when our clients write to us. If you’re unsure of the proper skincare routine for your skin type, simply write in to firstname.lastname@example.org and tell us your concerns.

The “Phytic Acid Buzz” is Growing
Best known for skin lightening, phytic acid serves many beneficial purposes within the skincare industry. Although the name may sound foreign compared to the more popular acids, such as glycolic and hyaluronic, the “phytic buzz” is growing.
The most popular use for phytic acid is for skin lightening. For instance, it’s extremely effective at reducing the appearance of discoloration, sun spots, and or micro-pigmentation. All the while being one of the most gentle of the acids.
This antioxidant derives from rice, grains, and bran – scientifically known as a “phytate.” When used within peels and toners, the strength varies from product to product; however, one variable remains constant… and that’s the reduction of melanin. How so? By impeding the entrance of iron and copper into the skin.
When used in conjunction with glycolic acid for instance, a phytic acid peel serves as an excellent exfoliant and skin lightener.
The NEW MUAC PhytX Peel uses the combination of phytic, glycolic, mandelic, lactic and hyaluronic acids to serve as an exfoliating, skin-tone evening, brightening, wrinkle reducing, and hydrating peel.

Our BellEvolve Vitamin C 20% Professional Serum is a *potent* anti aging product. This advanced formulation contains L-ascorbic acid enhanced with Vitamin E, Hyaluronic and Phytic acids. Phytic acid, derived from natural plants, is an antioxidant that helps to block new formation of melanin.
–Stimulate collagen synthesis
–Fades age spots
–Reduces acne and acne scars
–Defends skin against free radicals and environment damage
–Minimizes fine lines and wrinkles
–Reduces general skin discolorations
–Excellent for sun damaged skin
–This product should be a staple in your anti aging regime.
Maximum tissue levels are obtained at 20% L-ascorbic acid. Any amount higher or lower than 20% is not an optimal concentration. You will see some companies market their serums at 20%, however they may be using other acid combinations to achieve this level. The L-ascorbic acid in our serum is exactly 20%. Additional ingredients are enhancements to maximize effectiveness and stability.
This product does *not* need to be refrigerated. Store in a cool, dry place and away from light.
pH: Many Vitamin C preparations are not pH adjusted for optimal biologic activity and penetration. The optimal pH of an L-ascorbic acid formula is between 2.5 – 3.0. Anything higher than pH 3 can reduce the ability to penetrate efficiently and lose overall effectiveness of the vitamin. Anything lower than pH 2.5 can cause irritations and very dry skin.
Compare to Cellex C, Skinceuticals and CRX.
This NEW Peel Packs a Results-Punch!
NEW: 40% Mandelic Acid Peel
For those of you who’ve needed a stronger line of mandelic acid attack, we’ve got you covered. Our new 40% Mandelic Acid Peel packs a punch… so it’s NOT FOR BEGINNERS.
Mandelic Acid penetrates skin slower than other alpha hydroxides, due to a larger molecular structure… meaning a less irritating experience. Derived from bitter almonds, Mandelic acid goes to work doing the following:
–Rapidly exfoliates the skin…
–Deeply cleanses and decongests pores…
–Brings antimicrobial and antibacterial properties…
–Super effective for acne sufferers…
–Inhibits the growth of melanin, meaning discoloration reappears more slowly…
–Reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles…
and can reverse sun damage upon continued use.
Additionally, those with darker skin tones don’t have to worry about this acid bleaching their natural skin tones, as other AHA’s might.
Only those who’ve successfully used our 25% Mandelic Acid Peel for 6-8 weeks should consider using the 40% Mandelic Acid. A beginner “peeler” must always start at the lowest strength and work up the chain slowly. We take this matter quite seriously, so always read our instructions within your peel packet.
Our Most Powerful Strength… Yet Gentle Enough for 80 Year Olds!
A research study at the University of Michigan tested retinol lotions on 36 elderly, healthy people… most around the age of 80. After six months of applying retinol lotion on a small area on their upper arms, results showed considerable decrease in fine lines and wrinkles. However, even more interesting is how quickly effects decreased upon discontinuing use of the lotions.
Now consider the skin of the elderly for a minute…
It’s thinner. Looser. Usually dryer. If these retinol lotions can effect and improve the skin of 80 year olds, imagine what it can do for younger skin…
Mind you, our .50 retinol lotion is an advanced strength and only for those who have worked up to that level. Any “retinol rookies” need to begin with a .10% strength to ensure skin safety and minimal irritation.
